The Jolly Roger Fun Run Donates to HYP!
We would like to make a shout out to Will and the team at The Jolly Roger fun run who have made another fantastic donation to HYP! 😁
Thank You for Your Donation!
Even though it’s called a fun run, the Jolly Roger festive fun run is a gruelling 14-mile slog across moorlands from Zennor village to Roger’s Tower (overlooking Mounts Bay), and back.
It’s often a muddy affair but this year, thanks to seemingly relentless rain, it was the squelchiest ever. 30 or so brave (and slightly foolhardy) runners found themselves knee-deep in mud and bog for much of the journey.
Such a relief when everyone returned unscathed to Jolly Roger HQ in Zennor for a well-deserved pint or cup of tea.
The Jolly Roger fun run has always been free to enter, as a way of blowing off some festive steam. Entrants, many of whom run with Hayle Running Club, always give generously to support local causes.
This year, donations totalling just over £100, were split evenly between HYP and Hayle Food Bank.
